This series was created for a 2008 Sistagraphy exhibition. The goal of the exhibition, as with this body of work, is to call attention to the inequities around gentrification. Once thriving Black communities across the country are now being systematically erased and replaced with white stucko walls of condo complexes. If we continue to black-out our cities, what cultures and histories will we be left with?
